November is here, and the holiday season is just around the corner! Metro Boston offers plenty to do this month, with local festivals and holiday events. We’ve hand-picked a few suggestions to share with you here!
Nov. 4-16: The Boston Jewish Film Festival explores life through film from a Jewish perspective. The festival attracts a diverse audience of about 250,000 people, with film screenings taking place at the Coolidge Corner Theater, Institute of Contemporary Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Arlington Capitol Theater and West Newton Cinema. Nov. 6-8: Boston Christmas Festival at the Seaport World Trade Center brings together 300 American craftsmen, offering handmade gifts and decor. Find everything you need for the holidays including home accessories, designer fashions, artisan jewelry, seasonal décor, gourmet treats and one-of-a-kind handcrafted gifts.
Nov. 13-15: The Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair at Hynes Convention Center offers collectible books, manuscripts, maps, autographs, atlases, prints and photographs from over 120 dealers.
Nov. 14-Dec. 26: Boston’s Back Bay Chocolate Walking Tour takes place on Saturday mornings, combining a walking tour of Boston landmarks along with delicious chocolate samples from several local retailers. Advance tickets required, see website for details.
Nov. 17: The “Taste” 2015 brings you delectable offerings from Boston’s premier chefs & bartenders. Enjoy all-you-can-eat food and drink from some of Boston’s best restaurants, along with chef demos and live entertainment. Advance tickets required.
Nov. 20-22: America’s Hometown Thanksgiving in Plymouth takes you back in time with historic reenactments, patriotic concerts and a history-themed parade. There’s also a food festival, farmer’s market and craft village, plus live entertainment.
Nov. 21: Faneuil Hall Tree Lighting Spectacular! See the lighting of the city’s first holiday tree of the season! Live entertainment all day starting at 2:00 p.m. Starting the 22nd, the Blink! light and sound show runs every half-hour.
