As a small or medium size business owner in the Boston Metro area, you may be looking for creative ways to thank your employees this holiday season. While a holiday bonus will certainly be appreciated, out of the box ideas can also pack a punch when it comes to showing your appreciation for your employees’ hard work throughout the year. Here are some of our favorite ideas.
Serve lunch. Don’t just buy them lunch, serve it! Order food for the office and recruit your leadership team to serve your employees and clean up afterwards. It’s a great way to reinforce the team spirit.
Let them choose a charity. Get into the holiday giving spirit by offering to make a donation in each employee’s name to the charity of their choice. Not only is it a great way to help others in need, it shows your employees that you care about the same things that they do.
Give personal, handwritten notes of thanks. A simple “thank you” can go a long way, especially when it’s personal and handwritten. Let your employees know that you are thankful for their hard work, not only during the holidays, but throughout the year.
Take them out. If you’re able, take an afternoon off with your staff, head to the movies and treat them to popcorn or other snacks. The few hours off of work will make the outing extra special for your team.
