Don’t say goodbye to summer fun just yet! The events are still going strong in the Boston Metro! Here are some popular events happening around our area, from Labor Day weekend through the end of September!
Aug 30-31: Boston Jazz Fest, at Boston Maritime Park in the Seaport. Celebrating its tenth year! Free jazz concerts by top musicians, along with vendors, food, and refreshments. Friday 5:30 to 9:30 and Saturday noon to 9:30 p.m.
Aug 31-Oct 20: King Richard’s Faire. Step back in time with jousting exhibitions, artisans, live performers, colorfully-costumed revelers, and more! Carver, MA.
Sept 7-8: Boston Arts Festival 2019. Featuring over 70 juried local artists and crafters, plus live music on the Waterfront Stage. Held at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. Free admission. 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sept 14: South Boston Street Festival. Enjoy two stages of live music and dance, 100 artists and local merchants, plus plenty of food and children’s activities. Located on East Broadway between I and L streets. Free admission. 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sept 21: College Fest at Fenway Park welcomes college students back to school with live music, entertainment, free giveaways, and contests. Bring your student I.D.
Sept 28-29: Annual Arts Fest presented by the Quincy Art Association, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday. One of the best family-oriented art shows around! Browse and buy hand-crafted items, creative decor, and professional photography. Held at Adams Field in Quincy.
Sept 15: Boston Local Food Festival. Enjoy offerings from local farmers and restaurants, specialty food producers, fishermen and organizations promoting healthy food and fitness. There’s also chef demos, a seafood competition, live music and performances, and a family fun zone. Located at the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
Sept 19-22: The Boston Film Festival celebrates evolving filmmakers and regional talent with premiere screenings, Q & A sessions with directors, and artistic achievement awards.
