Winter is in full swing here in the Boston Metro area – and while the snow and cold temperatures may make you want to hibernate, we’ve got some great events that we hope will inspire you to get out and make the most of this winter season!

2nd Annual Frozen Pilgrim 10K
Here’s an event for those of you looking to brave the cold for a good cause!  The Frozen Pilgrim 10K takes place in Plymouth at the Boys & Girls Club on Sunday, February 16th at 9 a.m.  It’s a fully paved double loop course on low traffic roads. The run benefits the Kurt Giessler Foundation for Youth Achievement.

Winterfest
The South Shore Chamber of Commerce’s Winterfest is coming up!  Tastes from a mix of the South Shore’s finest food purveyors, wine and beer tastings and a sampling of area vendors make this a can’t miss event!  Thursday, February 27th from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Lombardo’s in Randolph.

Ice Skating on Frog Pond
Head downtown for a skate around the rink at America’s oldest public park!  Admission is $4 per person and free for children under 13, making this a great family-friendly event.  Skates are also available to rent.

Ski at Blue Hills
For a quick getaway to the slopes, check out Blue Hills in Canton.  With their specials offered on weeknights, it’s a great way to get your fill of fresh powder when you can’t get away for a weekend!

We hope that you’ll be able to get out and take advantage of one or more of these activities this month!  If you have an event or activity that you’d like to see in a future post, please contact us!  We look forward to hearing from you!
