December is here, and the holiday season always brings opportunities to give back to our surrounding communities.  Here are a few ways to get your employees or your family involved this holiday season!

The Boston Merry Christmas Caroling Mob

Bring cheer to the residents of Jamaica Plain on Sunday, December 21st by joining the 2014 Christmas Caroling Mob.  This is a great way to get the family involved – it’s free and open to all ages and musical abilities!  The mob meets at 4:00 pm and caroling starts at 4:15.

Bell Ringing

One of the most classic holiday volunteer opportunities is bell ringing for the Salvation Army.  You can contact the Massachusetts division office at 339.502.5852 for further information and to sign up for bell ringing in your area.  There are also other volunteer opportunities available for Christmas through the Salvation Army, such as creating and delivering food baskets.

Toys for Tots

If you have young children, donating to Toys for Tots is a great way to get them into the giving spirit.  You can drop off donations at Aroma Tavern and Grill in Plymouth until December 19th.

Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly

Help bring cheer to the elderly this holiday season by volunteering for Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly!  Volunteers are needed for gift wrapping, holiday deliveries, baking and cooking, transportation and much more.  What a great way to impact the lives of others this holiday season.

We hope that you will be able to find some time this holiday season to participate in one or more of these programs.  If you know of a volunteer opportunity in the Boston Metro area, please feel free to give the details in the comments below.  We hope that you have a wonderful holiday season!
