Happy New Year!  With 2014 fast approaching, it’s time to fill up your calendar with activities and events for the month of January.  Here’s a sampling of some of the events going on in the Boston Metro area this month.

Quincy Frozen 5K

The Quincy Frozen 5K will be held on Sunday, January 5th.  This event raises money for the South Shore YMCA Make a Difference Annual Support Campaign, which provides scholarships for children, families and individuals to take part in activities at the YMCA.

Live Country Music & Dancing

Get ready for a night of fun and dancing at the American Legion Bean Post in Weymouth.  Every Saturday night from 8 pm to midnight, enjoy live music, dancing and drinks.  There is a $7 cover charge.

Frozen Fenway 2014

Frozen Fenway 2014 is a two-week series of hockey, skating and sledding events running through Jan. 13 at Fenway Park.  The “Monster Sled,” a 20-foot high sledding and tubing ramp set in the shadow of the park’s famous Green Monster, is one of the most unique winter experiences in the Boston area.

Practical Advice and Tools for Managing Difficult Situations

This interactive workshop at the South Shore Chamber of Commerce will focus on how to handle challenging employee terminations – a necessary skill for any small to medium sized business owner.  The event will take place on Wednesday, January 15th at 8 a.m.

Do you have an event that you’d like to see included in a future list?  I’d love to hear from you!  Please contact me with the details, and your event could appear in a future post.  If you are planning to start off the New Year by searching for commercial space for your business, my team is ready to help.  Please contact us to get started!
