The Boston Metro South area always has something going on. And this coming weekend the towns of Canton, Braintree, and Hingham are filled with great events!
If you are looking to stay in shape this July, a great way to do it is participating in Beach Boot camp. Held every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., this boot camp can get just about anybody in shape. Located on Wollaston Beach, this camp is located right on the sand and will give you a great work out.
Running the entire weekend is also Aunty M’s Weekend Barbecue. An event designed for every one of all ages to enjoy, you can try homemade ribs, chicken, turkey, and much more while enjoying the company of your neighbors. At only $10.00 for admission, this is a great time to relax and enjoy authentic barbeque with friends.
Enjoying free live music is another way to enjoy the Boston Metro South area. Tosca’s in Hingham provides delicious food as well as live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays. On July 13th come and listen to Robin Haynes Teague, a freelance saxophonist who plays a wide range of music from Jazz to Reggae. Come back Saturday for Geoff Hicks. A pianist, sometimes accompanied by a saxophonist, Hicks has multiple CD’s and highly recognized performances under his belt.
For a day without the kids, a great spot to visit is the Blue Hills Brewery in Canton. A cash only facility, you are welcome to come and have a seat at a cozy bar with a large window showing the brewing process right in front of you. Every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday this brewery holds tastings where the smell of grains in the air make you feel like you’re in a bakery.
Whether you are visiting, Canton, Hingham or Braintree, the Boston Metro South area always has something going on for you to enjoy.
